I have been working as a Community Educator with Ohio Valley Hospice since August of 2020. Being born and raised in Cincinnati, I understand the value of local caregivers who are passionate about their communities – we offer just that. I am proud to work with a company who is dedicated to providing top-level care to their communities. We view our patients as family who deserve this level of care.
Prior to working with hospice, I was a social worker in the home health industry. I felt like something was missing, and felt hospice was the right move. I believe the two most important things in life are death and birth – it is an honor to be a part of one of those processes and use my talents to help make end of life more meaningful. I love getting up in the morning because of the work I do.
One of my favorite parts about this job is having the privilege to work with clinicians who have a heart of gold, getting up each morning to care for someone who is in their last moments. The drive I see in these nurses is nothing I’ve ever seen – phenomenally inspirational. Every person within this company – from the top down – is truly doing this for the patient and their family.
I am honored to have the privilege to be a part of something that will be like nothing seen in Ohio before.
